Songs Submission

Songs Submission Requirements:

Please read carefully before sending your songs

1. You must be an “Advanced Member” of CanadianMusicians.com If you're not, you can sign up here.

2. STRONGLY PROHIBITED: Music and lyrics that are negative, offensive, inappropriate language, discrimination, objectionable to others on the basis of racial, religious, moral grounds or any other psychological or mental influence.

3. All songs must be originals.

4. Please note, you can only submit to us songs and recordings that you are authorized to allow us to publicly broadcast, either because you own the public performance rights for those songs and recordings or you have received permission from the owner of the songs and/or recordings to allow us to web cast them. Once you provide any material to us, you agree that we will be able to use it on our online Streaming Live Radio. You retain the ownership in all material submitted by you and that you have the right to submit these materials to others.

5. Tracks must be professionally recorded and mastered for radio play.

6. Lyrics must be submitted for each song.

7. Duration of each song should not exceed 4.30min

8. Only CDs and MP3 formats are accepted. At this time we cannot accept downloads.

9. Your name /band name, Songs name, Album name, Email address must be printed on all songs, CDs and documents you send us. We don't want to mix them up or lose them.

10. You MUST fill out and sign: Songs Application Form and Music License Agreement. This assures us that you are authorized to submit the material you're sending. You will find the Agreement and the Submission Form in you're membership page when you log in as a member.

11. For the purpose of entering into this Agreement with us, only one person should sign this Agreement, even though you may be granting us rights on behalf of all members of group, or even your own artist. Just make sure that you have been authorized to do that by the others involved.

12. Finally, we are not going to return a copy of your: Agreement, CDs, documents or other materials that you send us, so please make certain that you keep back-up copies of everything in a safe place.

WE LISTEN. We love music, and we understand that many excellent records are out there just waiting to be discovered. We listen to everything that we receive. Period.

WE DECIDE. Sadly, we cannot play every song that we receive. Our senior music analysts (who are all excellent musicians and artists themselves) are responsible for auditioning your submissions.

ROYALTIES. We at CanadianMusicians.com believe in giving back to our members for their creative work. We encourage you to become a member of SOCAN. When we play your song(s) on our Streaming Live Radio, we pay Socan a “performing rights royalties”. Socan pays you! The more we play your songs the more money you will receive.
